Drinking freshly prepared Aloe vera juice (use only the pulp) assists in giving relief from menstrual cramps. Mix a medium-sized Aloe vera leaf and water as required for a drink.

Boil a quarter cup of milk with 1 cup of water and a small bulb of garlic (approx 5 grams) till reduced. Strain the mixture and drink once a day till cold and flu symptoms subside.
Fry 1/2 cup of steamed chickpeas with 1 onion and salt, pepper and a squeeze of lime. Eat at lunchtime to help control blood sugar levels, improve satiety and aid with weight loss.
