We must say that this skincare launch took us by surprise. Sure, every other celebrity has launched their own skincare/makeup/hair care/perfume or collaborated with cosmetics companies for limited edition collections. But we didn’t know that Olympic champ, and brand ambassadors for Hugo Boss and Tag Heuer, Joseph Schooling aspired to introduce a unisex skincare line.
As it turns out, it wasn’t such a random idea after all. Skincare has always been a big part of Joseph’s life. All that time spent in chlorinated water dries out your skin, damage its protective barrier, and in the long run, causes skin to become easily reactive or sensitive. Frequent swimming exposes the skin to chlorine and the sun’s UV rays, and without proper skincare can lead to dry, flaky skin, skin rashes and pigmentation issues.

JS Orphic was developed with a collaboration with Dr SM Yuen from Atlas Medical – Laser and Aesthetics Clinic. The duo teamed up with skincare specialists from South Korea to launch the unisex skincare line – a paraben-free range of the four products to cleanse, repair, hydrate and protect skin. Free from animal-testing, these skincare formulas promise to alleviate skin dryness and sensitivity, and to provide long-lasting hydration and protection.
Here, we reviewed the four products from the JS Orphic range. Our tester has combination-dry skin, and mild eczema, and experiences itchy skin and redness on a daily basis.
