1. Deep Fried Foods

This one’s pretty straight forward. 

While there’s a misconception that the oil from deep-fried food can clog pores and cause skin to break out even more, the truth is, deep-frying produces free radicals and cause inflammation. 

2. Dairy

Another common cause of skin break outs, the hormones found in cow’s milk can sometimes spike the production of pimples. 

If you realise that dairy is causing you to break out but can’t live without milk in your coffee, try almond, rice or hemp milk instead. 

3. Gluten

For some, gluten is said to cause inflammation and bloat both to their bodies and skin. 

 

4. Sodas

In general, foods high in sugar breaks down the collagen production in skin causing skin to lose its elasticity and glow. 

5. Soy
image

Some people can be more prone to the phytoestrogen levels in soy-based products. These phytoestrogens are similar to our natural estrogen produced by our bodies and can cause hormone levels to spike, leading to acne and break outs.
