In a study done by some researchers from Harvard University, it was found that a diet full of flavonoids “seem to push the right biological buttons that keep bodies from gaining weight.” The research, done 124,000 participants found that participants that ate foods rich in flavonoid managed to maintain their initial weights better than those who didn’t. Some participants even lost a little weight.
Flavonoids are plant metabolites that provide antioxidant effects to the body. While it’s not entirely certain how flavonoids help with weight loss, researchers have suggested that it could decrease the fat absorption in your body so you manage to maintain your weight better.
