“I love its tranquil environment and excellent service. Stepping into the spa, I’m greeted by luxurious cream coloured interiors that evoke a sense of calm and serenity. The Absolute Well-Being Reviver massage here is divine. The therapist focused on my problem areas which were my neck and shoulders, and I left the spa feeling invigorated and refreshed. Oh, and everything here is organically sourced – from the bathrobes and slippers to the teas and fruits served.” – Jeneen Goh, beauty entrepreneur
“My surfer friends introduced this spa to me and they swear by flotation therapy for muscle sore relief. The spa facility is extremely well maintained with individual floatation therapy rooms stocked with luxury bath amenities!
There’s also a beautiful lounge to relax in post-float, and you can stay for as long as you’d like. Equally impressive is its location, which is right smack in the middle of Canggu on a busy street – but once you enter the spa, you hear nothing at all.
Before beginning your treatment, you get to pick accompaniment tracks in the form of classical music, sounds of nature or guided meditation. This makes the float experience less intimidating, especially for the uninitiated.
My favourite thing about the treatment is its duration, which is 90 minutes! Most places offer 45 to 60 minutes, but I personally find that relaxation only truly kicks in around the 45-minute mark.” — Vivien Ong, model
“What I love about this spa is how private the space is. Also, it feels quite luxurious and has a traditional Bali-inspired theme.
My masseuse took her time to deal with the pains and knots in me, making me feel comfortable the entire time. The place is clean and it smells good. My body feels fresh after the aromatherapy massage.
It’s not expensive too and they offer different packages and other spa treatments such as ear candling, dry skin brushing and waxing. I’ll definitely be going back to try their full spa treatment with sauna and jacuzzi.” — Anda, content creator (@andathesea)
“My friend MinhTu spoke highly about B Relax Therapy Spa and insisted that I should try it out. It’s an oasis in the city so whenever you’re feeling tired after exploring the city on foot, you can take an inexpensive Grab car ride and visit the spa.
Once you arrive, you have to walk through an artisanal cafe named Shin Heritage and head up to the second level to access the spa. I love that they have good customer service, well-trained staff (they pressed out all the stiffness in my muscles), and I get to grab a coffee after my massage too!” — Larry Yeo, makeup artist
“The masseurs here are very professional, attentive and they constantly checked if their pressures were within my pain threshold. My favourite massage is their Thai Heritage Massage with Compress Ball. They use a heated compress ball to target aching areas on my body, and it felt very soothing.
The menu is also quite extensive and it even has massages for mums-to-be. Its environment and interior will make you feel relaxed as the whole spa is inspired by nature’s power, giving all patrons a restful experience.” — Lasalle Lee, makeup artist
“This new spa located within one of Danang’s nicest hotels has an interesting concept of incorporating sound and vibrations from tuning forks into the treatments to create a calming effect.
I was staying at the hotel and decided to indulge in some me-time as I was intrigued by this concept. The treatment rooms are located in a tranquil section of the resort grounds for privacy and it overlooks a lush lagoon. The treatment starts and ends with the therapist using tuning forks to create harmonious sounds and vibrations at specific pulse points on the body. I was surprised that this did have a soothing effect on me.
It also features stronger massage techniques using fingers, palms, elbows and knees to knead away tense muscles, and it incorporates the use of a warm herbal compress which relaxed me so much I fell asleep.” — Karen Tee, travel writer
“I love the idea of combining ancient Japanese onsen bathing culture with traditional Thai massage techniques. The spa has several onsen baths and facilities available, including a cold bath, steam room and sauna room.
The use of water sourced directly from thermal springs and infused with their signature essential oils undoubtedly enhances the spa experience. The onsen bath helps to warm up my body for the massage, and the therapist used a variety of techniques to release tension in my muscles while the essential oils left me feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and refreshed.” — Hilary, content creator (@sgnomster)
“My sister tried this spa first, fell in love with it and recommended it to me. Entering the premises makes me feel like one of those trips to Bangkok for Thai massages. Most of the therapists here are Thais and they are professional.
It’s got a relaxing ambience with clean, spacious and quiet rooms. If you buy minimum credits of RM1,000 (approximately SGD300), you’re given the VIP membership with exclusive use of a ladies only VIP lounge where drinks and snacks are available, as well as private rooms and restrooms.
There’s a wide selection of treatments targeting specific areas of the body to choose from. I’ve tried the full body and foot massages a few times, and I prefer the former as it also includes sufficient shoulder and back massages for me.” — Leanne Ho, content creator (@loveforskincare)
