#ItsTimeToEndBreastCancer: 8 Ways To Shop For The Cause

by Elizabeth Liew  /   October 3, 2018

Every October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In case you didn’t know, breast cancer is Singapore’s most common cancer in women, with an average of 1,900 new cases diagnosed every year.

There are many ways to support breast cancer awareness. In fact, the annual Pink Ribbon Walk is happening this Saturday, 6 October, at the Sports Hub, where there will be a Mammobus on the day for on-site screening, because early detection most definitely saves lives. A highlight this year will also be the Pink Ribbon Groove, a mass dance involving thousands of participants, including breast cancer survivors, which is sure to set a new record.

Besides going for the the Pink Ribbon Walk, you can also give to non-profit organisations like the Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). The former organises breast cancer support groups as well as talks and events to promote the important of regular screening, while the latter is dedicated to research and finding a cure for breast cancer.

From limited edition beauty products to an afternoon tea buffet session, here are eight ways to shop for the cause:
