Photo-sharing app, Instagram is one of the most highly used social media apps in the world but did you know, there’s more to it than just sharing photos and videos?

Instagram announced early April this year that users can now post 60 second videos. Users were previously only allowed to post 15 second videos.
The smart move opened up plenty of opportunities for aspiring film makers everywhere to create more fun and creative content for their Instagram pages.
See that little circle with a rectangle in your photo when you’re trying to post that cute selfie? That launches the Layout app!
Instagram recently launched Layout, the app that allows you to make adorable collages, flip and rotate photos and make unique arrangement to enhance your photo taking skills.
Besides Layout, Instagram also introduced two other apps that help to produce time lapse videos and short GIFs that enhance the Instagram experience. Simply download these apps from your iOS or Android device’s app store and start experimenting!
Always felt that Instagram was sucking up too much of your monthly data allowance? The app’s developers have included an option of saving data. Here’s how to do it: Tap on the Settings icon at the top right hand corner and tap on Mobile Data Use.
Take note however that restricting mobile data use actually loads photos and videos much slower.
Always wanted to share something you saw on Instagram but didn’t want to be the first to tag your friends in the comment section? Send them the photo via direct message!
See that arrow just below the photo you want to send? Tap on it and select the friends you want to send it to. You can even turn it into a photo sharing chat!
You can now hashtag your emojis and search for them the way you would with regular words!
No more having to scroll through your Followers or Followings list to see if a particular someone is following you back! Simply search with the the new search bar in the Followers and Followings list.
Always wanted to start an Instagram account for your pet but find that having to log in and log out continuously is a hassle? You’re not able to switch across different accounts but tapping the Settings button at the top right hand corner and scrolling all the way below to Add Account.
Once you’ve posted a video, you can see how many people have viewed your video from the number below. You can also see if people have liked your video by tapping on the number and navigating across tabs.
