Here are 10 second generation, up-and coming celebrities who prove that talent and star power definitely runs in the family:
Dou Jingtong, or Leah Dou, as she is most commonly known, is the daughter of famous Chinese musicians Dou Wei and Faye Wong.
Leah clearly inherited the musical talents of her parents with the singer-songwriter starting her own band in 2011. She was the lead singer of this band and released her first song, “With You”, in 2012.
Since then, Leah has continued to release music and has been widely celebrated for her talents. In fact, in 2016, she won the QQ New Female Artist Of The Year award.
Most recently, Leah has begun branching into acting and has proved to be just as good at it as she is at singing. The 22-year-old was honoured for her talents this year when she received the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Beijing International Film Festival for her role in The Eleventh Chapter.
Closer to home, we have celebrity offspring, Chantelle Ng. Chantelle, who is the daughter of veteran actress Lin Mei Jiao and Huang Yiliang, is best known for her debut acting performance in the drama, 96 Degree Café, where she starred alongside popular artistes like Julie Tan and Desmond Tan.
With a Sunsilk endorsement in the bag, it seems like we will be seeing a lot more of this fresh-faced Singapore Management University undergraduate.
Yi Xin, the daughter of actress, Xiang Yun and actor, Edmund Chen, might only be 19 but she sure has an impressive social media presence with more than 136,000 followers on Instagram.
The photogenic teen is managed by Starlist, a talent agency that was founded by renowned hairstylist, Addy Lee.
Much like his parents, Yi Xi, the eldest son of Xiang Yun and Edmund Chen, has caught the acting bug. The 26-year-old made an appearance in the xinmsn web series i.Rock and come 2018, he will be making his first small screen debut on Channel 8’s Lunar New Year drama, 118 Reunion. He has also been in casted in Dick Lee’s first movie, Wonder Boy.
Apart from acting, The Nanyang Technological University School of Art and Design Media graduate is also a gifted artist. He recently published a book, Xi the World, that features his sketches of the now defunct Caldecott campus.

Eleanor, the 17-year-old daughter of TV host Quan Yi Fong and former Channel 8 actor, Peter Yu, rose to stardom when she starred in an advertisement for Apple in China in 2015.
The teenager who was admitted to the prestigious Beijing Film Academy boasts more than 1.2 million fans on Weibo, China’s version of Twitter.
She has appeared in a drama that stars Hong Kong Actor, Leon Lai. In 2018, Eleanor appeared in the Chinese fantasy drama My Poseidon.

Like her dad, Taiwanese host Jacky Wu, Sandy Wu is blessed with the gift of the gap. Sandy teamed up with her dad to host Super Followers, a variety show that replaced the long-running Kangxi Laile which ended in January of 2016.
Tay Ying’s parents, local actor Zheng Ge Ping and actress Hong Hui Fang, may be household names but this 21-year-old is making a name for herself. Tay Ying is signed to hairstylist Addy Lee’s media production company and she appeared in a drama called While We Are Young.

It seems like Tay Ying isn’t the only one who inherited Zheng Ge Ping and Hong Hui Fang’s knack for acting. 17-year-old Calvert Tay who is the son of local actors Zheng Ge Ping and Hong Hui Fang is signed to Addy Lee’s artiste management company, Starlist.
He has appearing in the drama, While We Are Young, alongside his older sister, Tay Ying.
Another celebrity progeny making waves in Tinseltown is Lily-Rose Depp. Lily is the daughter of Pirates of the Caribbean star, Johnny Depp.
She was first thrust into the spotlight when she played the role of Colleen Collette in the 2016 film, Yoga Hosers. Aside from acting, Lily has also been taking the fashion world by storm. In 2017, the 18-year-old was chosen to be the face of Chanel’s astronaut themed Autumn Winter collection.
You know what they say, the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. All eyes were on Kaia Gerber during Paris Fashion Week as she follows in the footsteps of her supermodel mother, Cindy Crawford and model-turned-businessman father, Rande Gerber.
16-year-old Gerber dominated the runway, walking the catwalk for fashion powerhouses like Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Versace, Moschino and Fendi.
Like mother, like daughter, Crawford also shared the limelight with the rising star, closing the Versace show in Milan along with fashion icons, Naomi Campbell, Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer and Helena Christensen.
