We’ve reached the end of July! And with that comes evaluative thoughts on the past month. Amanda Chaang is working her way around societal expectations, while Kelly Latimer shared her thoughts on having more than one child. In the meantime, Jill Lim gave birth to her second child (congrats!).
Comedic relief comes in the form of Brie Benfell’s and Claire Jedrek’s posts. Outside of the city centre, Tjin Lee discovered a fun outdoor activity in Pasir Ris for her kids, Kate Pang brought her kids to interact with nature in Taipei, and Liv Lo Golding spent her babymoon in Hawaii.

Amanda Chaang shared her breastfeeding struggles, how she learnt that breast size isn’t a determinant of milk supply, plus her mindful approach towards her diet and the pressure to maintain her appearance. These concerns are truly relatable to fellow mums, yet they aren’t talked about enough. Here’s a toast to all mothers – amidst societal expectations, you know yourself best, so live on your own rules!
Time for some laughs. Brie Benfell posted a wholesome video of her husband and her kid at the pool, but the focus was on her husband’s hot body, coupled with the audio I’m Too Sexy. She called upon viewers to sympathise with her “situation”, where her husband wants to stop at two kids but she may have other plans… We totally get you, Brie.
Liv Lo Golding had her babymoon in bright sunny Hawaii with friends. We can imagine how relaxing it is to float on water in the third trimester. We look forward to updates from her family of four soon!
Kiss92 DJ Jill Lim dropped a casual post to announce the birth of her second child, with an equally nonchalant caption. She revealed that her breastfeeding journey isn’t looking too good so far. Props to her candidness. We sure hope things get better.
Kelly Latimer’s caption definitely hits the spot for mothers with two kids or more. Sometimes your kids fight to no end, and you start wondering if it’ll ever work out between them. Kelly’s post is a timely reminder that siblinghood is one hell of a rollercoaster – no matter how long or intense the conflict goes, your kids are still gonna be each other’s best friends for life.
This might just be Claire Jedrek’s daughter’s most iconic moment of the year. The wind, the way she held her cup and straw, her tone when she said “I’m living my best life!” – she’s owning it! You know what the Gen Zs would say: “Slay Queen!”
Tjin Lee chanced upon an activity for kids to have fun while parents get the rest they need. Her boys spent the day kayaking and rock climbing under the supervision of experts, cultivating teamwork and resilience. In the meantime, Tjin and her husband enjoyed the sea breeze with some spam fries and chicken wings at the cafe. The review looks promising – maybe it’s time to head to PA Wave Pasir Ris for a win-win outing!
Kate Pang and her family travelled further out to 淺沐道農莊, a leisure farm in Taipei. Playing in natural river water surrounded by nature, this recommendation is superb for a quick getaway from the bustling city life. Kate Pang commended the food as well.
