It’s the first time in close to three years since we last threw a mega countdown party for the New Year. Some of us might have jio-ed our friends to the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2023 while others might have slept in early (because rest is important). What about our favourite local celebrities? You’ll have to keep scrolling to find out.
Fann celebrated the New Year with a photo of her, her hubby Christopher Lee and son Zed Lee. In her caption, she wrote, “Grateful for 2022 where we are able to go back to the norm, travelling, parties and gatherings.”
We all know that keeping fit is important at all ages and Ah Ge Lee Nanxing proved that it’s never too late to start working out. To mark the New Year, he posted an Instagram reel showing his personal training throughout 2022. We hope we’ll be as determined as him to do the same in 2023!
Jeremy posted lovey-dovey photos of him and his wife Jesseca enjoying each other’s embrace. He wrote: “How was your 2022? Regardless of how good or bad it was, it’s now gone. More importantly, 2023 will be better. Let’s work hard together!”
Constance did a #throwback reel for her Instagram, highlighting some of her most cherished 2022 moments. She did it best in her caption, capturing our wishes with “Let’s have an even better 2023! No inflation! No GST! No War! No COVID! World peace! Good economy! Healthy! Happiness and good wealth!”
Cynthia ended her 2022 by being one with nature, going for a 10-km walk in the morning at Macritchie with her friend. Thanks for the stay healthy reminder, Cynthia!
Kewei did a 2022 recap reel on her Instagram and boy were we reminded of how fast time passes by! Some of her year milestones included Xiap Pian Pian’s first day at school, giving birth to Qiuqiu and receiving the Young Artist of the Year award at the 25th COMPASS Awards 2022.
Xiuhuan — who’s on a family trip in Paris now — shared a fun and heartwarming video of her and her family holding hands and “running into 2023”. It makes us want to “run” to Paris for a vacay now.
The Paris-based Singaporean celebrated 2023 in Japan with her Japanese family, who she hadn’t seen in three years due to the pandemic. Posting a series of photos, she explained how they celebrated the new year and how she met the latest addition of the family, her niece who was only 29 days old!
While the actress herself hasn’t posted anything on her instagram, her new husband Matthew Webster posted a cute pic of the two of them. Based on his stories it looks like the two had a sweet, low-key celebration with a few friends.
