Romantic dinners and cosy staycations are lovely for Valentine’s Day, but if you’re up for something a little more unconventional, we’ve rounded up a list of things to try out. After all, they say, experiencing new things together can spark more feelings of intimacy between couples.
It’s only getting sweeter at the Museum of Ice Cream this season of love. The attraction has introduced its Night at the Museum series just in time for Valentine’s Day, with fun adult-centric activities when evening rolls around.
The fully-guided and immersive route, dubbed the Cone-nection Cube, is designed to deepen on-site interactions for friends and couples through play with intimate quests for partners and best friends to complete. And then, of course, there’s unlimited ice cream tasting. Once you’re done, you can look forward to a celebratory sprinkle shot at the alfresco bar.
And with the kids out of the way, booze will be served. At the Scream diner, for instance, sip on a welcome drink of floral Hendrick’s Lunar Gin cocktail or mocktail, while the alfresco bar will dole out ice cream, and lots of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
Night at the Museum tickets are priced from $48 per person, from Thurs to Sun. Museum of Ice Cream is at 100 Loewen Road, Dempsey, Singapore 248837 Visit its website for tickets and more information.
Following the closure of its original space at, modern European Nox – Dine In The Dark has opened the doors to its new two-storey 40-seat space along Club Street. The concept remains the same, where diners get a tasting experience amidst pitch-black surroundings.
For Valentine’s Day, your experience kicks off at the waiting area located at the first level, where an amuse-bouche and welcome drink await. Then head upstairs to the dining area, where you’ll be tucking into a 12-dish tasting menu comprising a variety of textures, temperatures, flavours, and utensils, all while plunged into ink darkness. Visually impaired hosts who are trained will be on hand to offer guidance and reassurance.
Mystery wine flights, as well as innovative cocktails by Sam Wong of Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall are available.
The Valentine’s Day menu (Feb 13 and 14, 2022) is priced at $148++ person, and includes an amuse bouche, a welcome drink, and post-dinner gift pack. Wine flights begin from $30++ and cocktail flights from $50++. NOX – Dine In The Dark is at 83 Club St, Singapore 06945. Visit its website for reservations or more information.

Each session lasts 20 minutes, and protective gear will be provided, although you can bring your own. Just be sure to turn up in covered shoes and comfortable long pants.
