It’s travel season, and local celebs and personalities have been whizzing to places like Japan and Australia for bonding time with their families. And even if they’re not, they’re also taking the weekend to unwind with a boat trip to nearby islands (like Fann Wong) or having cosy gatherings. Scroll down to see what these celebrities and personalities got up to in the past week.
Seems like everyone on our feed’s in Japan or Korea right now, and that includes local actress and entrepreneur Cheryl Wee. The 35-year-old shared video highlights of her family (that’s husband Roy Fong and their kids) in Osaka and Kyoto, Japan. They visited Nara Park, took snaps with dreamy cherry blossoms, checked out a bamboo forest and also swung by Universal Studios Japan.
Funny man and Sgag’s head honcho Xiaoming (Adrian Ang) went on a family vacay in Australia with his wife Xin Lei and their son Zachary, whom they have nicknamed Ploop Ploop.
On his Instagram page, Ang has also shared the slew of fun stuff that Zachary got to experience for the first time, from taking the Puffing Billy Railway to checking out a sensory play session for young ones in Melbourne.
Fann Wong hopped on a mini getaway with her son Zed, going on a yacht trip to St. John Island for a day of fun. And Zed got to play at being captain of the ship too.
Sheila Sim and her husband welcomed their second daughter Skyla in February this year, and shared that they — together with elder daughter Layla — dined out for the first time as a family of four.
The 38-year-old also revealed how she was more experienced and relaxed as compared to when she was a first-time mum. She shared, “(If the baby’s) hungry? Just throw on a nursing cover and feed as we wait for a table. No time to change diaper? It’s ok, go home then change. Cannot nap? It’s ok, can sleep earlier later. Haha!”
Hong Huifang’s family, together with husband Zheng Ge Ping, and their two children Tay Ying and Calvert Tay got to sample fellow actress Yvonne Lim’s culinary skills during a recent cosy gathering.
Lim, who recently relocated back to Singapore with her family, cooked up a storm, dishing up mala xiang guo (mala stir-fry pot), oden (Japanese fish cake stew) and even baked a butter cake.
Even moving homes can make for cute photo ops too, as Tay Kewei, Alfred Sim and their three adorable kids show. The couple are moving out of their first marital home (and temporarily to her mum’s place) and will later move into their new crib, which is in the midst of renovations.
Local personality Naomi Neo gave a tour of her beautiful glass home, which she revealed took three years to tear down and reconstruct. She also showcased what it formerly used to look like, the building process, and the final result, which includes lots of glass walls, and a huge pool.
