Thomas was given the boot after one too many violent acts on the set of Criminal Minds. He was fired in August of 2016 after kicking a producer on the show. The actor is also known to have had an violent outburst involving an assistant director in 2010, which resulted in the studio sending him to anger-management classes.
Taylor Momsen was apparently awful to work with on the set of Gossip Girl, and was gradually fired from the show. Her character, Jenny Humphrey, started out as a good girl in the series but her downward spiral mimicked Taylor’s real life persona, which began consisting of dark makeup, shocking statements to the press and a high-profile flashing incident.
Before it was announced that Castle was canceled after Season 8, plans for a possible next season were going forward without the show’s leading lady. ABC did not ask Stana Katic to return for a possible Season 9, apparently for monetary reasons. Fans were outraged, and the show was canceled after all.
Shannen managed to get fired from two different TV shows — Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed. In 1994, she was reportedly fired after her fourth season on 90210, which was attributed to her bad attitude. It was also rumored that she was fired from Charmed after an ongoing feud with co-star Alyssa Milano.
Selma was axed from the FX comedy, Anger Management, in 2013 after reportedly feuding with co-star Charlie Sheen. The actress apparently complained to executives of Sheen’s unprofessional behavior on set. When Sheen caught wind of the complaint, he threatened to quit the series if Blair was not fired.
After getting let go from ABC’s Desperate Housewives in 2009, Nicolette later sued both the network and series creator Marc Cherry for assault and wrongful termination, claiming that Cherry struck her on the head once on set. A mistrial was eventually declared due to lack of evidence of the alleged assault.
The former Top Gear host was suspended and subsequently dropped by the BBC in March 2015, following an altercation with a producer at a hotel. The host, who had been with the network for 27 years prior to the firing, later spoke out on the incident, saying that getting dropped from the series “was my own damn fault.”
In fall 2006, reports surfaced that Washington had used a gay slur on the set of Grey’s Anatomy towards T.R. Knight, who came out shortly afterward. The actor issued an apology, but later stirred up controversy again, when he reiterated the slur during a press conference.
Columbus played Harrison Wright on ABC’s hit show Scandal about a professional fixer and her team of “gladiators in suits”. The actor lasted three seasons on the show before finding out in April that he had been fired after his wife alleged that he put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.
Charlie Sheen was the star of the hit sitcom Two and a Half Men for several years before going off the deep end. Following bad behavior and derogatory remarks about the show’s creator, he was replaced with Ashton Kutcher for the final seasons of the show.
