If you like a side of savoury with your desserts then these Chilli Crab churros are right up your street! At $6 a pop, they’re not exorbitant but only the daring should try them as they’re exactly everyone’s cup of tea. While churros are nothing new, this quirky iteration is sure to be all the rage this year.
Excuse the slightly blurry photo, we were so excited when we spotted these Handsome burgs that we couldn’t wait to stop snapping pics and start digging into this colourful goodness of a burger. Think juicy beef patties smothered with yummy sauce slotted in between a rainbow bun..all for only $8!
It doesn’t look like much just sitting around in its cooler but the magic happens when you shake this baby up. This shimmering drink is so pretty to look at we actually didn’t have the heart to drink it. So if anyone’s knows that this $8 magical potion tastes like, let us know in the comments!
Childhood nostalgia all smushed into a cute, little square cube – this is what we found in these adorable Milo cubes on offer in the bowels of the Geylang Serai market. For $6.50 you get a couple of these babies served alongside some drool-inducing soft serve ice-cream. Yum!
You can’t leave the bazaar without trying The Raclette Factory’s signature offering. Think ooey, gooey melting cheese scraped lovingly over a steaming hot plate of sausages, potatoes and carrots. Be warned though, the line for this popular joint is long and snakey but the end wait is oh-so-worth it!
More rainbow-themed confectionery, this time in the form of some ice cream buns. At $8 each they don’t come cheap but they will put a cheery smile on your face as you gobble them up and they make your Insta-feed look poppin’. Let’s face it, we’re all really here for the pics anyway right?
We hope these pretty unicorn milkshakes by Starlite taste as good as they look because at $9.90 a pop, they’re on the expensive end of the scale for a drink of this size. Still, people tend to not be able to resist anything unicorn-related so we bet these will whip up a storm at the bazaar.
Now if you’re really, really thirsty, head to stall MV8 where Word.’s enormous Bucket Gangster drink will quench the thirst of your entire family for $8. There are several versions but the ‘Mat Rep’ (made of ice cream soda, sour plum and lemon grass with lemon slices) seems to be the most popular.
If more thirst-quenching is on the agenda while you’re at the bazaar, pick up another colossal drink that will leave you satiated while you’re battling the heat and the crowds in Geylang. Yummers’ $5 pretty concoctions are gigantic and refreshing.
Breezing into last place are some fun to look at Dragon’s Breath treats. What are they? Bite-sized cookies in different flavours dunked in liquid nitrogen that sometimes come with dipping sauce. While they taste like normal cookies you can find in every household during the festive season, the cold air erupting from your mouths and noses will provide endless entertainment.
