This weekend, roads near the CBD will be closed once again for Car-Free Sunday.
Besides walking, jogging or cycling around the 5km car-free route, the community can look forward to a wide array of family-friendly activities and events.
Cyclists and users of personal mobility devices such as hoverboards are invited to pledge their commitment to be safe riders and to practice the seven habits of safe riding. They can also test out their safe riding skills at the Land Transport Authority’s Safe Riding Clinic.

Where: Esplanade Park and Empress Lawn
What: Start the morning with some Hatha Yoga at the Esplanade Park or choose to end it with a Sunset Yoga Flow class at The Empress Lawn.
Time: 7.30am-8.30am for Hatha Yoga or 5.30pm-6.30pm for Sunset Yoga Flow.

What: Kids will love the roving buskers that perform various acts and balloon sculpting.
Time: 9am to 12pm
Where: Empress Place (Cavenagh Bridge)
What: Take a walking tour of historical landmarks in the Civil District and learn more about the history and development of several landmarks.
Time: 10am to 11.30am, 11.30am to 1pm and 4pm to 5.30pm
Where: Esplanade Park
What: Filled with family activities, Kids’ Zone has everything from pebble painting to colouring, sketching and even a bouncy castle for kids to play in.
Time: 7.30am to 12pm
Where: Esplanade Park
What: An open mike performance where participants get their 15 minutes of fame!
Time: 9am to 12pm
Where: Connaught Drive
What: A football clinic where kids get to work on their basic footwork and do ball exercises. They’re also allowed to play small-sided games.
Time: 7.30am to 11.30am
Where: Connaught Drive
What: Kids get to learn tennis basics in a fun and interactive way and with lighter rackets and low compression balls.
Time: 7.30am to 11.30am
Where: Esplanade Park
What: Learn simple throws, tips and throws at this frisbee clinic! It could potentially because your family’s new favourite sport.
