Bored of going to the same old shopping malls? Here are all the family-friendly things to do at Jewel Changi Airport
The airport scene has really changed these past few years. Today, what used to be an open space car park for Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 1 has completely transformed into a huge, glittering 10-storey attraction that’s sure to impress both locals and tourists alike.
Note: The Jewel is NOT a terminal in itself, but you can travel to Terminals 1, 2 and 3 from it. And although it houses 280 shops and food and beverage outlets, the Jewel is more than just another regular shopping mall. At the media preview, we overheard someone remark that it feels like “a combination of Gardens By The Bay and Marina Bay Sands (MBS)”, which is pretty spot-on, considering (fun fact!) that the architects of Jewel are the same people who built MBS.
