Find out where Olympic gold medallist Joseph Schooling will make his public appearances while he’s back in Singapore for a week.

Fans of Singapore’s first Olympic gold medallist Joseph Schooling will get to see previously unpublished photos of the swimmer in a new photo book.

The 96-page book – titled Hello, My Name Is Joseph Schooling – contains 60 as-yet-unseen photos documenting the Singaporean’s historic swimming journey over the past year.

To commemorate the occasion and the launch of two other new books about his life, members of the public can meet the swimming star at a series of events.

At the Rio Olympics, 21-year-old Schooling defeated 22-time Olympic champion Michael Phelps, in the 100m butterfly final to capture Singapore’s first Olympic gold medal.

In a Facebook post, the reigning Olympic 100m butterfly champion wrote: “A big part of being an athlete means accepting the fact that I will always be scrutinised, in and out of the pool.”

The University of Texas student will be back in the Republic for a week, chiefly for a Singapore Swimming Association golf fund-raiser on Tuesday, November 22.

He also has a slew of public appearances, starting with an event at Ngee Ann City on Saturday, where he will be meeting five Make-A-Wish Foundation children beneficiaries as part of a Watsons Singapore initiative.
