This holiday season is extra special for these Asian celebs, from Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu, Hong Kong actresses Myolie Wu and Jennifer Yu, as well as former Mediacorp actor Zhang Zhenhuan, who’ve shared happy baby news.
Crazy Rich Asians actress Constance Wu, 38, has reportedly welcomed a baby girl with boyfriend Ryan Kattner, but the news didn’t come to light till this week.
In fact, there wasn’t any news about her pregnancy at all. As of now, the actress has neither spoken publicly about her pregnancy nor delivery and has remained out of the spotlight since February this year. But according to E!News, “They are doing great, and they’re so excited and happy.”
Her boyfriend Ryan is a musician, composer, and screenwriter who fronts the rock band Man Man under the stage name Honus Honus.
(PS: In November this year, her Crazy Rich Asians co-star Henry Golding and his wife Liv Lo also shared that they’re expecting their first child.)
It was a holly jolly Christmas for Myolie Wu in more ways than one. The Hong Kong actress took to Instagram to share a photo of herself in a festive sweater and with a baby bump.
The 41-year-old would be welcoming her third child together with businessman husband Philip Lee; she has two sons, Brendan, three, and Ryan, who’s 17 months old.
Previously, the 41-year-old expressed her desire for another child, because according to her, “daughters are the sweetest”.
Another Hong Kong actress, Jennifer Yu also shared happy news on Christmas Day. The 27-year-old, and husband Tim Luk, 40, posed together under the Christmas tree in adorable matching sweaters.
She captioned the photo, “All I want for Christmas is YOU. Merry Christmas. Thank you God for giving us the best gift.” along with the hashtags #MomToBe and #DadToBe.
The pair tied the knot on November 14, 2020.
On Dec 27, former Mediacorp actor Zhang Zhenhuan unveiled the first photos of his baby son together with his wife Sally Pan, after a surprise announcement of Pan’s pregnancy last month. In an interview with 8 World, the 36-year-old actor (now known as Zhang Zhenxuan) revealed that the baby’s already a few months old, and goes by the name of Miro Zhang Gaoming.
With the family now based in China, he added, “Our family initially wanted to fly back to Singapore on Dec 27 but we were unable to do so because of the pandemic and visa issues.” However, he has plans for his son to receive education in Singapore in the future.
