This workshop combines both culinary and craft experiences to help you and your kids appreciate the wonder of the blue butterfly pea flower. Native to Southeast Asia, this blue pea flower is known for its healing properties.
You’ll get to harvest blue pea flowers – as well as lemongrass and pandan leaf – from a home garden, and savour your welcome blue pea drink as you learn more about the cultural significance and culinary uses of the humble blue pea. After that, enjoy a cooking demo experience where you’ll learn to prepare traditional nasi lemak and sweet kuih dadar using blue pea. To end the day, take part in a printmaking craft activity, where you’ll learn to carve a blue pea flower stamp to make prints on cards.

Come together as a family and take part in an amazing race around the National Gallery!
Inspired by the fantastical worlds depicted in artist Jeremy’s Sharma’s Superstar, the race will take you to different parts of the gallery to solve problems and find clues. At the end of the race, all the participants will come together to share your discoveries in an act of collective world-building.
This activity is for families – unaccompanied children will not be allowed to participate. Children aged 12 and under will require the accompaniment of an adult aged 18 or over.

You’ll get to try award-winning hawker dishes (including some that have been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand!), as well as traditional snacks, and artisanal ice cream and drinks. As you eat, you’ll also learn about how the five major dialect groups in Singapore – Hokkiens, Cantonese, Hainanese, Teochews, and Hakkas – have integrated the best of their cuisines to create the local dishes that we all know and love.

Ever caught a puppet show?
In this delightful puppet show performed by puppet master Arii Azharii, kids will get to enjoy two well-loved tales – The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and Doctor Tortoise. They’ll also get the chance to learn more about performance techniques through this exciting puppetry performance.
