The end of November is already approaching – where did the year go, honestly? As we build up to the month of December and are properly engulfed by shoppers looking for the perfect Christmas gifts, we have to remember that the season of giving could also mean spending quality time with the family. Some activities we’re highlighting this week include supporting local brands at The Boutique Fairs or paying a last visit to Jurong Bird Park before it closes in January. Don’t worry, there’s lots more we recommend as well.
As part of its last hurrah the Jurong Bird Park is kicking off a month long celebration to mark its five-decade long history. Families can look forward to a Caw-nival and take part in egg-citing game booths and rides at Penguin Coast and Birdz of Play. The nostalgic Signature Tour will also be launched, and the little ones can be introduced to the deep-rooted heritage of Singapore’s oldest wildlife park alongside seasoned guides to discover insider anecdotes and get up close with the birds through feeding sessions at African Treetops and Waterfall Aviary.

For the adults, a wine and cheese pairing guided by a trained sommelier and for the kiddos, an artistic oil painting workshop at botanical gardens.
