This week’s list is a mishmash of celebratory Lunar New Year fun and artistic endeavours to start the Year of the Rabbit. From an experiential dollhouse to an exciting carnival filled with games and performances, there is lots to explore on this second weekend celebrating the lunar new year.
The first Mattel Playhouse in Asia hopes to take the adults in the family a walk down memory lane and the younger ones an experiential journey into some of Mattel’s most iconic brands.
Featuring three themed-areas, Hot Wheels, Barbie, and Thomas & Friends, the Playhouse has 12 fun-filled activities and photo opportunities for everyone in the family to be a part of.

Hop on down to Bayfront Event Space and soak in the fun and festivities as The Show Master presents the Biggest Carnival this Lunar New Year – The Bay Spring Carnival. Take family pictures at the Cherry Blossom-lined streets or pose with giant inflatable bunnies around the carnival grounds. The kiddos can look forward to a myriad of carnival games at Uncle Ringo’s while the adults can take a break and enjoy live performances featuring local artists and catch a lion and dragon dance.
To simulate a different kind of a hotpot experience Ice Magic is hosting a Haidilao pop-up restaurant that is served in a table of ice accompanied by sub zero temperatures.

The annual #HuatRun is back and for families looking to burn off those extra hotpot calories, Singapore Sports Hub has a whole line-up of athletic to-dos that’s perfect for families to take part in. Taking place from February 6 to 26 is the event’s highly anticipated 888-metre ‘Huat Run’ around the 100Plus Promenade.
Families looking to beat the heat can take a dip in the OCBC Aquatic Centre with kid friendly activities like the water playground or the sports hub’s half-pipe surfing facility stingray for bodyboarding and skimboarding.

Keep the kids entertained with an ethereal Disney100 Light & Sound show featuring a plethora of characters from iconic Disney films over the century. The show will feature a medley light effects while accompanied by classic Disney tunes.
Complete the trip by taking family photographs inspired by scenes from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars movies, these interactive photo spots at the Shiseido Forest Valley and Canopy Park are sure to bring back fond memories all while capturing new ones!

Designed by local artist Joo Choon Lin, ‘Dance in the Destruction dance’ is an immersive performance installation that will challenge the convention of human perception. By combining the senses – sight, sound, hearing and touch, the installation will utilise sculptures, video and performance to explore the world around us. The artworks will be activated through a two-part theatrical performance.

To welcome the year of the rabbit, resident Mini Rex Rabbits at Singapore Zoo’s Rainforest KidzWorld, Rudy, Ronnie and Rosette will take centrestage. Watch the affable bunnies gather and enjoy a ‘’lo-hay’’ platter. The little ones can take the opportunity to learn how to safely interact with these gentle animals and their keepers during interaction sessions at Buddy Barn.
