In case you missed it, baby panda Le Le will be returning to China once he turns 2 this August. If your family still hasn’t got the chance to see him, this just might be your last few weeks to head down to River Wonders!
Previously known as River Safari, River Wonders houses over 11,000 animals from close to 260 animal species and 400 plant species. Attend the popular Once Upon A River show to see capybaras up close — it takes place at three timeslots throughout the day. You can book your seats on their website’s booking portal two hours before the show timeslot.
Hop on the Amazon River Quest Boat Ride to fully experience the sights and sounds of flora and fauna. Tickets are $5 per rider.

The ‘For Neighbours, By Neighbours’ festival is held under the MRT tracks of Ang Mo Kio, packed with games and workshops carried out by the volunteers and citizens in the community. Head down on Saturday to try snacks and goodies created by beneficiary-owned businesses, and join the resident-led community trails to learn more about Ang Mo Kio.

When Sadness Comes To Call is a non-verbal theatrical performance that illustrates the emotion of sadness, and how to come to terms with it in creative ways. This is a gentle, relaxing performance, recommended for ages 4-8 and suitable for the hearing impaired and those on the autistic spectrum. If your kid is still bouncing with energy, bring them to the Sky Garden, with bouncy castles and games. Take-home activity sheets are available to spark further conversation with your kids after the performance.

Fun fact about the seven horses at Gallop Stable’s Downtown East outlet: They are retired sports horses, and are now living a relaxing slow-paced retirement life by bonding with humans here.

Pre-schooler publication Thumbs Up Little Junior celebrates its 10th birthday with a pop-up installation. You could call it a cardboard playground in the form of a yummy-looking “cake”.
It is currently situated at Jurong Regional Library until July 30, before heading to Punggol Regional Library from Aug 5 to 25.
