It seems like just yesterday when we witnessed Duchess Catherine stepping out of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London cradling her third child. Today (Apr 23), little Prince Louis officially turns two!
As usual, the doting mum has gifted us with four adorable new snaps of Prince Louis at their country home Anmer Hall in Norfolk, and it’s safe to say we haven’t stopped staring since they were unveiled on social media just a few hours ago.
Here are the photos of Prince Louis like you’ve never seen him before:
Sharing the new images on the eve of his second birthday, Louis is seen putting his artistic skills to use with rainbow coloured paint. His clothing choice was rather risky given his activity – a blue and white checkered shirt was bound to get a few paint splatters here and there. But all in the name of good fun, of course!

Of course, the current climate has resulted in a rather different celebration for the growing toddler this year.
Mum Kate and Dad Prince William are currently isolating at their country home in Norfolk, with their three young children George, six, Charlotte, four and Louis amid the Covid-19 health pandemic.
But despite staying indoors, the family have still found a way to celebrate the momentous occasion with the world – and the new pictures have gone above and beyond our expectations.
While our glimpses of Prince Louis have been very few and far between, it’s become clear that the young royal is growing up very quickly.
We last saw the royal in March when his parents posted a sweet video to the Cambridge’s Instagram account, Kensington Royal, in March. Standing beside his older brother George and sister Charlotte, Louis was seen clapping his hands as the siblings partook in the Clap for Carers initiative which hailed those working on the frontline amid the Covid-19 crisis.
To celebrate the world’s cutest young royal (an arguable claim of course – but with overwhelming evidence!) we’ve rounded up his cutest moments in the gallery below. Prepare to smile – a lot!
This is where we first clapped eyes on the little prince, at the Lindo Wing in London’s St Mary’s Hospital. Prince Louis was debuted to the world at just seven hours old as his proud new parents celebrated their newest family member.
Sound asleep, Louis seemed completely unaware of the thousands of onlookers who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the young royal. After smiling and waving for the cameras, the brand new parents whisked Louis away back home where he began his life as the newest member of the Cambridge clan.
In May 2018, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis starred in a stunning new family photo, which was released to celebrate Princess Charlotte’s birthday and Prince Louis’ recent arrival. From the new picture, its clear the siblings share a very close bond.
Kate Middleton captured the adorable moment shared between Charlotte and Louis – as well as snapping the cute-as-pie royal open-eyed and curious!
In July 2018, Prince Louis celebrated his christening in a beautiful service attended by his extended family of royals. Once again, the young Prince looked very peaceful while onlookers snapped away – he’s one very relaxed bub.
And for the first ever time, the Cambridge’s were pictured as a family of five at the milestone event – a sight for sore eyes, if we ever saw one!
In November 2018, Prince Charles rung in his 70th birthday with a brand new picture of his growing extended family – including his seven-month-old grandson Prince Louis. The young Prince looked cute-as-a-button with mum Kate as they both shared dazzling smiles for the camera.
Aww, Louis grabbed his granddad’s attention quick-smart during the photo shoot with renowned royal photographer, Chris Jackson.
In December 2018, the Cambridge family shared a brand new photo as their official Christmas card for the year. In a rare display of informality, the family-of-five were dressed casually in jeans and sitting on a tree trunk outside their country home in Norfolk.
On April 23, 2019, royal fans were well and truly delivered the goods with no less than three new photographs of the young royal as he celebrated his first birthday.
The pictures were taken again by keen photographer and mum Kate Middleton earlier in the month at their Norfolk home.
Doesn’t he look just like his siblings? Louis’ toothy inquisitive stare has officially melted our hearts.
We can’t get enough of the little Prince’s facial expression as he joined the rest of the royal family on the palace balcony to watch a fly-by performed by the Royal Air Force, at the nation’s annual Trooping the Colour ceremony.
On that same day, the young royals were spotted practicing their royal waves to the crowds gathered outside Buckingham Palace.
One thing’s for sure – Prince Louis has really grown since then!
