It seems like just yesterday that the young royal was being carried about by mum and dad on their tours. Where has the time gone?
On Thursday, Prince George attended his first day of “big boy” school at Thomas’s Battersea in London. The not-so-tiny tot followed in dad’s foot steps, with an adorable photo op on the steps of Kensington Palace before heading off to school:

The four-year-old future King of England looked smart in his brand-new uniform made up of a navy V-neck jumper, a blue shirt, knee-length shorts, shiny black shoes and a backpack. Sadly The Duchess of Cambridge, who announced her third pregnancy this week, was too under the weather with severe morning sickness to attend.
George, who appeared a little shy and nervous, was greeted at the gates by his head of the lower school, Helen Haslem, who held onto his hand while proud father Prince William joined them.
The new pupil was taken into reception and shown his classroom. He might be third in line to the British throne, but the royal will be known simply as George Cambridge to his fellow classmates.
In August this year, the six-year-old Danish royal twins started classes at Copenhagen’s Tranegard School, where their older siblings Prince Christian and Princess Isabella also study. The stylish siblings were smart casually dressed in matching blue chambray outfits.
The pair posed for cameras outside the royal palace, alongside their proud parents Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, who are next in line for the Danish throne.
A few days earlier, their five-year-old cousin Princess Athena started school at Joseph Sisters’ School in Ordrup, Copenhagen. She was visibly more nervous than her twin relatives, and clung on to mum Princess Marie, who she wore a matching floral print dress with. Her father, Prince Joachim was also there to send her off.

Four years earlier, Prince Frederik and Princess Mary’s second born child, Princess Isabella, started her first day at Tranegard School in Copenhagen, not before flashing a toothy grin and waving shyly at the cameras.
Together with her sisters Princess Amalia (left) and Princess Alexia (right), the four-year-old Dutch blue blood appeared on her first day of school at The Hague’s Bloemcampschool. They were escorted by doting parents King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima.
The adorable princesses, then aged just five and three, looked like two peas in a pod when they arrived hand-in-hand and in matching uniforms at Colegio Santa Maria de los Rosales school in Madrid, Spain.
They were dropped off by their parents, Queen Letizia and King Felipe.
The royal brothers and their mum, the late Princess Diana, on Prince Harry’s first day at Wetherby Prepatory School in London’s Notting Hill. How precious do they look in their matching uniforms?
