If you practise yoga, it may please you (heh) to know that some poses can do more than just keep your body in tip-top shape — they can help spice up your sex life too. After all, sex gets better when you’re more flexible, right? So if things have become a little stale in the bedroom, surprise your partner with one (or all) of these five yoga positions a more satisfying sex session:
The cobra pose requires strength in your arms, as you’ll be supporting your upper body weight on your palms. It supposedly stimulates your “sexual centre” and gives your man better access to your G-spot. The result? The big O.
This pose gives your partner full access, sans obstruction. You can start with this position, and then slowly wrap your legs around your partner as he pounds into you. If he leans over, you can also reach up to kiss him.
Unlike the plow pose in the kama sutra, this one’s a bit different and requires you to be even more flexible. When you’re in this position during sex, your partner is able to penetrate even deeper. However, it’s not ideal for those with more well-endowed partners. You might also want to support your lower back with your hands to prevent injuries.
This is pretty difficult to do, so only attempt it if you’re confident.
Do this regularly to strengthen your pelvic floor. And if you learn to squeeze your pelvic floor during sex, it helps heighten the sensation (and sex is all about sensations). Your partner can kneel in front of you and enter you from the front.
Pair this with the Cat pose to strengthen your kegel muscles. These muscles contract when you hit the O, so you can be sure you’ll have a mind-blowing orgasm with strong kegel muscles. If you’re doing this position during sex, he can kneel behind you and enter you from the back, like with the doggy position.
