Fann Wong had many things to celebrate on Valentine’s. Not only was it her sister’s birthday, which Fann celebrated with her family at a restaurant complete with good food and wine, it was also the premiere date of two movies that she and husband Christopher Lee have roles in. Fann took to Instagram to plug her romcom, When Ghost Meets Zombie (which also stars Nathan Hartono, Ferlyn G, Jesseca Liu and Jeremy Chan), as well as Chris’ movie, It Started With A Kiss, starring Canadian-Chinese actress Christy Chung, Taiwanese heartthrob Darren Wang Ta Lu and Chinese actress Jelly Lin. How sweet.
Married to former Taiwanese Mandopop boyband group member Alex Tien, local actress Yvonne Lim took a simpler approach to celebrate the couple’s relationship. Dressed in no-frills white t-shirts, Yvonne and her husband did not opt for a fancy candlelight dinner. Rather, they went for a casual but comforting local breakfast instead, because who says you needed to spend a fortune on V-day? “We are not perfect, but we work hard together to constantly pursue perfection,” she said in her post. Wise words, we say.

While actor Jeffrey Xu was not in town to celebrate Valentine’s Day (he’s in Shanghai for work), he did not forget to send flowers to girlfriend and fellow actress Felicia Chin, to remind her of the love that they had. But Jeffrey took it a step further and sent a bouquet to Felicia’s mother as well. What a sweetheart! It worked well — her mother was so thankful that she said a little prayer to bless the young couple. Guys, take notes.
Hearts were broken when singer Nathan Hartono publicly announced his relationship with Dutch-Korean singer/actress Jeon Na-Young last June. The pair fell in love after starring in the musical The Great Wall: One Woman’s Journey. The couple are still going strong, despite their busy schedules and the fact that Na-Young has to commute frequently for work.
She played the servant Tuptim in West End production of musical The King and I that finished last September, while her hometown is in The Netherlands. “To the one who is kind, to the one who is patient, to the one who makes me so so grateful….To the one who loves and understands me like nobody else. Happy (belated) Valentines,” he wrote.
While not much is known about Jamie Yeo’s husband Rupert, who is reportedly a British expatriate, works as a corporate risk management consultant and has a penchant for urban farming, the couple is a testament that you can find true love on a dating app (they found each other on Tinder). “I love that he makes me want to learn and grow, and he says I make him live in the moment,” she said. A simple romantic dinner for two at home was enough for the good-looking couple, complete with organic roast chicken, lobster roll, soup and salad. Champagne included.

February 14 holds extra special meaning to Pan Ling Ling and husband Huang Shinan. Not only is it Valentine’s Day, it is also the date when the two tied the knot. This year marks their 24th anniversary!
Their relationship is one that has withstood the test of time, from initial obstacles they faced while dating — her father disapproved that he was nine years older — to Ling Ling’s health care (she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 and had to undergo a partial mastectomy and chemotherapy). Shinan stayed by her side to take care of her and support her while she was undergoing treatment, something Ling Ling alluded to her in post. “Thank you for your love and care throughout these years,” she said, adding in Mandarin, “Thank you for your endless love.” #relationshipgoals

Despite missing V-day due to national service obligations, Joshua didn’t miss the chance to create a special memory for his medical school student girlfriend Zoen Tay with romantic pre-Valentine’s dates, something she was quick to acknowledge in her post.
Joshua also posted a shout-out, saying: “19 months (to the exact same day) later, back at our secret spot which was so hard to find! I remember panicking inside holding your hand, trying to get us there while it was pouring. Well we got there in the end and we are still journeying hand in hand. ” Too sweet.

Calling fellow actor Chen Hanwei her “hot date” as her husband was out of town, her meal’s companions included Zoe Tay and husband Philip Chionh, Hong Hui Fang and husband Zheng Geping and comedian Mark Lee. Sounds like a dinner party we want to be a part of.
Still, she didn’t forget to post a photo of her husband giving her kiss, while she holds onto a bouquet of roses. “Twenty two years of marriage, this is the first time we won’t be celebrating Valentine’s Day together. Actually as long as you have love in your heart, every day is Valentine’s Day. I don’t need any gifts, this family is the best gift you’ve given me.” Tissue please.
