Perhaps it’s the cute cartoon characters, or gorgeous floral designs, but the arrival of new ang bao packets every Lunar New Year definitely gets us in the CNY mood.
While banks freely give out ang bao packets to customers, ang bao collecting has become a bit of a sport among Singapore collectors. The Ang Pao Collectors group on online marketplace Carousell now has over 4,000 members, who collect and sell fancy red packet designs to others.
