Our favourite scare-fest is just around the corner, and if you’re looking at getting a treat instead of tricks, we have just the perfect list to help you ring in this spooky festival with a flourish. Here’s where you can chow down on some fiendish delights and knock back ghoulish beverages to celebrate all things Halloween. Have a frightfully good time!
How adorable is this spooky dessert? Crafted specially for Halloween, enjoy two different variants of the ice cream boutique’s lava cookies – the Sesame Witch Lava Cookie (pictured) and the Baby Frankenstein Lava Cookie ($10.90 each). The Sesame Witch is a vanilla butter cookie with a delicious black sesame lava centre, while the Baby Frankenstein combines Uji Matcha with a baby milk lava centre that oozes when you cut into it. They’re topped with an exclusive O’Jack Orange Pumpkin ice cream, a cute Witch’s Hats cookie, pumpkin seed, pumpkin sauce and popping candies for a surprising finish.

Sink your teeth into the Overflowing Elua Cheese Burger ($20.90) which has been given a grisly twist. Its flame-grilled beef patty, topped with sundried tomato prawns and scrambled egg and nestled within a black charcoal bun, is slathered with two types of melted cheese that looks like a gruesome sea of blood.
For dessert, go for its creepily-named Bleeding Pancakes ($18.90) — a stack of four black charcoal pancakes with a hidden surprise of mixed berries at the centre that once again resembles an oozing blood pool. Topped with charcoal white chocolate and pumpkin whipped cream, it’s a heady sugar rush.

Nosh on a whole range of “hair-raising” dishes at this Halloween-themed buffet spread, which includes Eerie Eyeballs (butternut pumpkin soup with quail egg), Mini Tombstones (pulled meat pie with gruyere), and Spooky Bat Wings (fiery pepper crispy wings). Besides dishes to do with the occasion, you also get to indulge in other culinary delights such as Alaskan King crab, freshly shucked oysters, Boston lobster with chardonnay nage and roasted beef tomahawk with summer vegetables.

Channel Sheila Hammond (played by Drew Barrymore) from Santa Clarita Diet — who’s always seen with a tumbler filled with smoothies made from human parts — when you get yourself one of these devilish-looking frappes from Starbucks. Black sesame is blended with red bean to produce an intriguing mix of nuttiness and sweetness. The concoction is then topped with a red drizzle resembling blood to complete the eerie vibe. While you’re there, snag yourself some Halloween-themed treats, such as the Bat-ter Almond Chocolate Cake ($6.50) and the Peek-a-Boo Lemon Drizzle Cake ($5.90), to end the meal on a sweet note.

Get eyeballed by your drink as you sip this cocktail ($16++) that looks like a gruesome bloody beverage. Lime juice and house-made ginger juice is mixed with Orgeat syrup, blueberries and a splash of Nusa Cana rum, before Peychaud’s bitter is added to create its red bloody aesthetic. It’s topped with two edible “eye balls” made of lychee and blueberries for the finishing touch. The result? A rich drink that is both refreshing and thrilling, not to mention Instagram-worthy.

Now this is a steal. Get a free specially-concocted Halloween cocktail at ilLido Group’s restaurants — Aura Sky Lounge, Art, Amò, Braci Rooftop Bar, Southbridge, SONS – when you exchange a whole garlic at the bar. Each spot is offering a different creation in collaboration with Botanist Gin, Cointreau and Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie, so make this a bar-hopping jaunt. Amò for instance, is offering The Countess, a bold mix featuring Cointreau, lapsang souchong-infused whisky, lemon, Szechuan peppers-spiced pumpkin jam and maple syrup.
Only on Oct 31 from 6pm to 8pm and you can only redeem one cocktail per garlic per venue.
This monstrous beverage ($22++) looks like a science experiment gone wrong — in a good way. Get a sugar overload with this crazy chocolate shake that features a vanilla frosted rim plastered with candy corn and topped with a ‘spider-web’ chocolate cupcake, white and orange twisty pop, orange rock candy, and a generous dollop of whipped cream with orange sprinklers and chocolate drizzle. Sounds like an indulgence? It is. And it’ll definitely give any health-enthusiast a big scare.

Celebrate the mystical with these other-worldly brews from Bread Street Kitchen and Bar. Try the mysterious Dark Magic (S$19++) , a vodka-based concoction with ginger beer, blackberries and a sprinkle of unicorn powder, or the ethereal gin-based De Ville’s Aperitif with Campari, sweet vermouth, blood orange and sloes (S$19++).

Indulge in your inner zombie fantasies and tuck into some grotesque “brains” while sipping a mysterious black potion at wizard-themed cafe Platform 1094. The brain ($8.50) is actually a decadent white chocolate mousse with vanilla sponge and drizzled with raspberry sauce, while the beverage, aptly titled Black Magic ($9), is a tangy mix of passionfruit, rose, lime and charcoal.

Go for the Creepy Dark Rye, a dark rye loaf shaped to resemble a sinister finger and filled with hazelnuts, walnuts, and almonds. Or try the Spooky Cheese Trio which is a heady mix of Danish blue cheese, cheddar, and parmesan cheese and shaped into a ghoulish face. The Choco-fied Mummy, a sweet bun with crispy textured crust filled with chocolate cream, will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Indulge in a sweet treat with your loved one when you share this “Only Have Eyes for Boo” muffin ($8 each). Freshly handmade, a fragrant all-chocolate muffin is topped with an “eyeball” filled with coconut puree and surrounded by chocolate drops. So decadent, it’s scary.

Kilo Lounge is collaborating with Bacardi to offer three spookilicious beverages for their one-night-only Halloween party. The Devil’s Tears ($20 nett) is a heady mixture of Bacardi Carta Oro, Martini Rubino and Orange Bitters accompanied by three gummy worms, while the Annabelle ($18 nett) is a refreshing blend of Bacardi Carta Blanca, St. Germain and Lime, with two frightful mismatched eyeballs. The Chucky ($17 nett) is a tart Bacardi Carta Negra with Ginger Ale topped with a ghostly face.
