Straits Kitchen at Grand Hyatt Singapore

Straits Kitchen has long been the place for locals and tourists alike to tuck into hawker favourites from our Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Peranakan cultures.

The restaurant also boasts live cooking stations, where diners can watch their meals being prepared.

While you’ll still find many of our traditional dishes at the Ramadan buffet (think satay, rendang, Nyonya kueh, chilli-crab and curry), this year’s spread also includes foods that are enjoyed in the Arab world, like charcoal-grilled chicken, beef and lamb, mohallabiah milk pudding, and baklava, a super-sweet dessert of paper-thin filo pastry layered with mixed nuts and honey. Price per adult: $78++; until June 24.

This award-winning restaurant never disappoints with its global buffet selection.

It’s one of the few places in Singapore where you can enjoy food from all over Asia, the Mediterranean, and Europe.

This year, for a change from the usual Malay and Indonesian dishes, the restaurant presents a spread of mouth-watering Thai food. Appetisers include Thai pancakes with seafood and herbs, deep-fried scallops wrapped in pandan leaves, and crispy pad Thai spring rolls.

For main dishes, choose from classics like pineapple rice, beef massaman curry, red duck curry, and crispy tamarind fish.

And of course, what’s a Thai feast without soups like tom yam goong and desserts like sticky rice with mango? Just for this buffet promotion, the hotel flew in chefs from The Dhara Devi in Chiang Mai. Price per adult: $83++; until June 24.
