As the couple were leaving the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, William told waiting reporters the couple were “very happy, delighted” as he fit the baby carrier into the car.
Holding up three fingers, he said, “thrice worry now,” adding, “We didn’t keep you waiting too long.”
And when asked about the name he said, “You’ll find out soon enough.”
For those of us who can’t wait for “soon enough,” the betting odds have tipped that the newborn will be known as Prince Arthur.
Unsurprisingly, all the favourite top names are very traditional – with Arthur, closely followed by Phillip, James and Albert.
Prince Paddy, though it has a nice to ring to it, is proving to be an outsider with odds of 501/1.

So far, these are the predicted names:
Arthur
Philip
James
Albert
Alexander
Henry
Michael
Thomas
Louis
Edward
Alfred
Frederick
