10 Sweet Treats For Your Kids
Refreshing, crunchy and nutritious – getting your kids to eat cereal will be easy peasy with this popsicle.
Prep 5 hours 10 mins (including freezing) / Serves 1
32 oz yoghurt • ¼ cup honey • 2 cups cereals (try Post Cereals Great Grains)
1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Distribute mixture in a popsicle tray.
3. Freeze for one hour then insert a popsicle stick.
4. Freeze for additional 4 hours before serving.
Instead of milk, switch it up and try fresh fruit juice with a bowl of cereal. Orange, apple, grapefruit or pineapple juices work well; choose a crunchy cereal or one with nuts to complement this sweet, zesty meal.
Other than croutons and standard garnishing, you can also add cereal to your soups to add crunch. Try Post Cereal Great Grains’ new flavour Cinnamon Hazelnut to inject aroma, crunch and a wholesome fibre boost to your cream soups.
If preparing fresh fruit juice is too troublesome, try having your cereal with different cut fruits. A simple idea is rolling cut banana pieces over crushed cereal and some honey. The kids will enjoy this treat!
Baking some desserts for a party? Use cereal as topping for your cakes and cupcakes – it goes especially well with cream frosting to add a crispy bite.
