Before Covid-19 struck, many of us liked to go across the Causeway into Johor Bahru, Malaysia, to enjoy a smorgasbord of good food. In part, thanks to the favourable exchange rate. One of these dishes we loved was lok lok. Lok lok refers to various foodstuff ranging from protein to vegetables that have been skewered onto bamboo sticks before being deep fried, barbecued, or dunked into bubbling satay sauce or broth.
Accompanied with various chilli and dipping sauces, this meal has become a favourite supper option that’s equally yummy and affordable. But while we are still stuck here, that doesn’t mean we can’t get a taste of it that’s as good. Here are 10 places for the best lok lok in Singapore.
