To feast on this week: Actor Li Nanxing’s sumptuous chicken and beef rendang pies, modern indian cuisine from The Dandy Collection, Ebi Bar’s local delights and more.
You can now have a slice of what veteran Li Nanxing is cooking up delivered right to your home.
He has unveiled a new virtual Heat & Serve concept that serves up ready-to-eat pies as well as packaged meals that can be easily heated up.
For the pies, sink your teeth into buttery crusts packed with the likes of ethically farmed and locally sourced Assam Fish ($41.80 for four), Chicken Rendang ($$39.80 for four), and Beef Rendang ($39.80), which are three of his favourite dishes learnt from his Peranakan grandmother. They’re also made fresh and blast frozen to retain their taste and texture.
The three dishes are also served in ready-to-eat packs — perfect for dinner table additions.
And to celebrate the launch as well as National Day, he’ll be holding a flash sale from 8am to 8pm on Aug 8, 2021. The pies will be selling at a special price of $8.80 each ($35.20 for four)
Available from Aug 8, 2021, at www.LNXfood.com.
Local noodle bar Ebi Bar has expanded its repertoire of elevated local fare to include dishes like Hokkien Noodles, a rendition of the hawker favourite that comes upgraded with sea cucumber, ikura, and a pair of its signature Signature “Chao Da” Charred Ebi. It’s also served with fried chicken skin in lieu of pork or lard.
Following the popularity of its Signature “Chao Da” (Charred) Ebi Pao Fan in May, it has also launched more pao fan dishes – the Fish Pao Fan ($6.90), Seafood Pao Fan ($8.90), and Garoupa Pao Fan ($12.90).
Plus: As a show of support for the local F&B community, Ebi Bar will donate a portion of the proceeds of the Hokkien Noodles to a hawker centre. In celebration of National Day, the customer purchasing the 56th pack of Hokkien Noodles can choose the hawker centre. Ebi Bar will then head down and buy food from the hawkers there, and later donate the food to the less fortunate.
Only 100 packs of Ebi Bar’s Hokkien Noodles will be sold so get it while stocks last. It is available only via takeaway and delivery.
Ebi Bar is at #B1-21 Cuppage Plaza, 5 Koek Road Singapore 228796. Visit its webpage to order.
