Easties who are fans of famous dim sum restaurant Swee Choon no longer have to travel to its flagship outlet in Jalan Besar, or fork out extra for delivery.
It’s now joined Tampines Food Co., which houses a collective of eateries such as Ayam Penyet President, Wolf Burgers, Koi and more. You’ll get to dine in too, at the 60-seater common dining area, or order via Foodpanda, Grabfood and Deliveroo.
There are bento sets and value meals, as well as a la carte classics – think the Swee Choon Big Pau, carrot cake, prawn and banana fritter and Shanghai xiao long bao.
Or order the two dimsum platters that are exclusive to the outlet: Hong Kong Fried Dim Sum Platter ($12.90) and the Hong Kong Steamed Dim Sum Platter ($11.90).
The fried dim sum platter includes the likes of its signature mee suah kueh, prawn and banana fritter, and beancurd prawn roll, while the steamed dim sum platter serves up salted egg yolk custard bun, har gow, and more.

Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel’s Food Capital buffet line has reopened with an a la carte Riverside Barbecue theme, wooing diners with an extensive menu of over 50 choices of meat, seafood, vegetables, desserts, as well as a mix of local, Japanese, Western and Indian delicacies. Choose to dine indoors or enjoy your feast along the Singapore River under the stars.
Fill your bellies with free-flow servings of live prawn skewers, sirlion steak, lamb cutlet, pork belly, spicy squid, green mussels and more grilled over an open charcoal fire. Lobster is also available for dinner.
Or nosh on fresh sashimi, tempura, as well the all-time favourite Grand Copthorne Laksa, Wok-fried Clam with Chilli Crab Sauce and Deep-fried Mantou, and Penne Pasta with Lobster Bisque.
While you won’t be able to get your food from the stations because of Covid-19 restrictions, you can make your orders using an order chit. There’s also a launch special of 30 per cent off. Lunch is now at $45.50++ (U.P $65++), and dinner is at $59.50++ (U.P $85++).

OmniMeat Luncheon and OmniMeat Strip are available at selected NTUC FairPrice supermarkets, retailing at $8.80 per pack (U.P. $9.35) and $6.95 per pack (U.P. $7.55) respectively, along with OmniMeat Mince at $6.50. For another delicious plant-based offering, make your way to The Connoisseur Concerto German Centre. Its revamped menu, exclusive to the outlet, has new and healthier options, including plant-based meat mainstays.
Try the Yakiniku Glazed Phuture Meat Skewer ($14.90), served with petite salad, seasonal fresh fruits and your choice of carbs: Organic Red Quinoa, Red Rice, Herb Mashed Potato or Herb Spaghetti. Or check out the vegetarian Pulled Mushroom and Asparagus ($13.50).
You can also opt for the Mussel & Clam ($15.50), tossed with al dente strings of spaghetti and doused in a moreish bonito-shoyu broth.
To work more fibre into your meal, build your own leafy plate at its Create-Your-Own Salad Counter. Each portion ($9.80) will get you a mesclun green salad, one choice of protein, three sides and one dressing.
If you’ve enjoyed Gardenia’s Country Loaf selection, you (especially sourdough fans) will likewise appreciate its revamped selection.
The range, now rebranded the Gardenia Gourmet Selections Range($2.10 to $4.20), features its nine existing bread flavours (like Purple Wheat, Spelt & Quinoa Country Loaf, Walnut Country Loaf and Foccacia) but are now all made with sourdough. Each is fermented for 16 hours to achieve a distinctive flavour.
