Actor Nat Ho was one of the first few who posted adorable photos of the couple’s wedding ceremony. He lovingly embraced the couple and even called Sheila his “dear mei mei” — which means little sister in Mandarin. How sweet!
Sheila’s 118 co-star, Chew Chor Meng, too was in attendance with his wife, Deon Tan. His simple but sweet caption included plenty of heart-shaped emojis for the couple.
Guests at Sheila and Deon’s wedding were allowed to craft their own wedding favours, thanks to local craft bar service, Flipping Notes.
The couple too, tried their hand at crafting their own wedding favours.
Sheila’s bridesmaids looked smart in a shirt and pants combo, complete with bow ties!
Actors Elvin Ng and Romeo Tan, too, managed to squeeze in a photo with the couple right after their ceremony. In a different photo, Elvin commented that Sheila’s wedding was intimate, emotional and honest.
According to sources on Instagram, Sheila’s family members woke up at 5am to help out with bridal duties and gate crashing ceremonies.
A few days after her wedding, Sheila added even more touching photos of herself and her family members at her wedding.
On top of thanking her friends, Sheila thanked her grandmother in a dedicated post written in Mandarin. However, we’ve translated the post below:
Grandma, the person I respect the most. Without you, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I’m especially grateful for the care that both you and grandpa have given to my brother and me when we were little. I cannot possibly repay you in this lifetime. Thank you for imparting your words of wisdom. I am sure my husband will love you like I do.
Sheila also thanked her father in a heartfelt and honest post. We’ve translated it from Mandarin to English:
Papa, thank you for your trust in me since I was young, you gave me the strength to not be afraid, to be fearless and courageous. Although I inherited your bad temper, impatience and stubbornness, I also inherited your dedication, generousity, independence and perseverance. When I was young, we had nothing. Thanks to you not ever giving up, we now have an abundance.
In her latest post, Sheila thanked her mother and posted a sweet photo of them together.
Mum, I’m demanding and stubborn. I don’t ask for help, because I always felt that no one could help me. Mum, thank you for not ever giving up and for accepting my many flaws. From me wearing Big LP Pants after secondary school and you commented that they are very ugly (to which I replied, “you don’t understand this”).
Subsequently, when I fell in love and got hurt, you said to find someone who loves you more, and again I replied, “you don’t understand.” I realised now that you do understand. Mum, you don’t have to worry about me, I found the person who is eager to spend the rest of his life with me. I love you.
