These Common Habits Unknowingly Make You Look Arrogant At Work
1. Crossing Your Arms

Majority of the times, people cross their arms unintentionally as a safety mechanism whenever they’re feeling awkward or uncomfortable — totally normal, we get it!

At the same time, experts believe that crossing your arms can give off the impression that you’re unapproachable, especially during meetings.

2. You Prop Yourself Up With Your Elbows

Most of us do this out of habit during meetings or when we’re out with company. However, a lot of the times, it might come across as being arrogant and looking bored.

3. Checking Your Watch

This one can be tricky. After all, how else are you going to be able to check the time and make sure you’re on track for the day, right?

According to this article by Business Insider, checking your watch for time makes it seem like you’re bored or think you’re too important.

4. Checking Your Phone

Just like checking your watch, checking your phone so much can be a sign that you’re either bored, have more important things to do or just don’t want to be where you currently are.

5. Sighing

While taking deep breaths and sighing can be great for relaxation, doing so in the wrong time could signal to others that you’re bored. The same goes for yawning.
