Attending a wedding, Hong Ling’s outfit of choice was a slinky powder pink dress that she accessorised with earrings and various necklaces stacked on each other. Her strappy sandals also echoed the layered quality of her jewellery.

One thing you’ll come to realise from scrolling through her Instagram is that Hong Ling isn’t one to shy from bold colours. Take this flowy bold orange dress she’s sporting at Furla’s Fall/Winter 2022. She paired the outfit with equally striking green heels, further showing how much she loves bright colours.

Less is more when you are wearing a thoughtful design. Ruched details and a cutout along the fitted bodice makes the Zimmermann dress stand out, requiring little to no accessories other than a pretty red lip.

A white dress evokes an ethereal, angelic quality. But Hong Ling made it look even more polished by picking a form-fitting design with a slight sweetheart neckline. The retro quality was amped up with a woven-detailed Guess bag.

On the flip side, the classic black dress is a black canvas for creative styling. We like how Hong Ling swapped out the typical neutral-coloured bag for a playful lavender satchel from Bonia that adds a quiet whisper of colour to take the edge off the LBD.

Just because you’re on holiday doesn’t mean you skimp on style. Sharing photos of her vacation to Tioman Island with boyfriend Nick Teo, Hong Ling opted for a sporty bucket hat to pair with her loose printed dress instead of the usual wide-brimmed straw hat expected of tropical getaways.

Now, this is how you pull off a monochromatic look for the red carpet. Hong Ling’s outfit for the 2022 Star Awards featured a textured dress from Singaporean designer Andrew Gn paired with matching Jimmy Choo heels and chunky Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Floral dresses are a staple for hot, tropical climates. But If you’re unsure how to style the busy print, take a leaf (geddit?) from Hong Ling and pair it with a solid bag that adds contrast to the outfit. The pink trim of the Guess purse also echoes similar tones on the pattern.

Mixing fabrics is another astute manner to style an outfit. Here, Hong Ling complements her Ralph Lauren shirt dress by cinching her waist with a thin belt. But the star of the look is definitely the high-cut leather boots that add a little grunge to the sleek look.
