As we await with bated breath for the arrival of a new royal baby, we need to extend special recognition to the Duchess of Sussex for her impeccable maternity style. Whether she’s all dolled up in custom-made Givenchy Haute Couture for a special evening, or she’s keeping it casual in gladiator sandals (never thought we’d see the day where royals wore gladiator sandals), Meghan Markle has proven time and time again that her style transcends trends and has a classically elegant appeal. We look at some of our fave looks from her pregnancy thus far.

A Timeline Of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Royally Romantic Love Story
Wearing a floral dress from Brock Collection, Meghan’s outfit is a great example of how a muted texture can really lift dull grey tones.
Usually known for her love of muted colours, it was a surprise to see the Duchess stride out in a vibrant red-and-violet ensemble. She teamed it with her signature suede pumps and a cute wristlet.
Attending the premiere of Cirque du Soleil, we wonder if Meghan stole the spotlight from the acrobats in her showstopping gown. In this sequinned look, she proves that maternity wear doesn’t have to mean “boring”.
Her love for wearing black is well-established by now, but Meghan makes it work by contrasting different fabrics.
Her custom Givenchy poplin shirt and cocktail skirt may have been custom-made for her, but this is a look that is eternally stylish and so easy to replicate, whether you’re preggers or not.
Wearing her hair in a slightly more retro chignon that’s reminiscent of women in the ’50s, the Duchess of Sussex still keeps it modern by incorporating sleek lines into her all-white outfit.
In the early days following the announcement of her pregnancy, one of Meghan’s first looks was in a Reformation striped dress, which she wore with easy sandals and simple shades. What’s great about this look is that it could be easily worn by anyone (you included!) on the weekends. It’s the perfect blend of casual, and yet still chic and put together.
The next time we’re on holiday, we’re packing a vibrant wrap dress and a pair of espadrille wedges with us. Just look at how radiant the duchess looks in her Figue dress! Adding to the resort-ready look, she chose an intricately beaded clutch to complete her look.
