Now in its 25th year, the annual Star Awards ceremony — Singapore’s iconic and most important awards for the Mandarin entertainment scene — is back. Celebrating the best in Singapore’s TV, the night is also a time for celebrities to step out in their best garb. And not only did they step it out, but they sure stepped it up. Kicking things off is Zoe Tay in this dramatic ruffled off-shouldered number. To match, she chose gradient-coloured earrings and a stunning cocktail ring.
Joanne Peh is not one to shy away from showing up on the red carpet in a unique, and sometimes provocative, dress (remember the side-boob dress?) This year, she didn’t disappoint in a black dress that featured a yin-yang like design made with a translucent print. The high neck might have been a touch modest, but she made up for that with an eye-popping thigh high slit that showed off her long, toned gams.
In a stunningly simple blush gown by Ralph Lauren accompanied by Tiffany & Co jewellery, Carrie Wong looked incredibly regal and elegant.

We can always count on Rebecca Lim to pull out a fun red carpet look, and she didn’t disappoint when she appeared in this poufy creation from Valentino. She also went for a parred-down make up look, which was a wise choice as she allowed her dress to be the centre of attention.
He Ying Ying shone like a diamond with her choice of a metallic Ralph and Russo dress that made her look like a sci-fi glamazon. The foiled bodice added sparkle to her ensemble and showed off her shoulders and cleavage, while the quirky belt detail and high-waisted skirt gave her height and stature.

Cecilia Cheung was textbook on how to create a wow-worthy appearance on the red carpet. Her feminine dress sported sequins and glitter for that much needed shine, and we love the frilly details that gave her look a jaunty spring with every step. But the best part of the dress lay in the back — there was a surprising deep v-backline that exuded class and sex appeal. Take notes.
Jesseca’s sleek floor-length gown in black complemented her lithe figure and height, but we especially loved how her cape sleeves added a dose of dramatic flair to an otherwise boring LBD. Plus, it didn’t hurt that she was decked out in S$2 million dollars worth of Tiffany & Co. jewellery.
Decked in a glittery sequin number from Chanel, model-turned-actress Sheila Sim nailed the perfect award-ceremony look. Not only was the plunging neckline a showstopper, her accompanying Chanel accessories and slicked hair-do added a modern, almost rocker-like edge that made her look super cool.
Looking like a regal princess, Cynthia Koh showed off her best assets — her shoulder and cleavage — in this beautiful strapless dress from Style Lease. We adore the midnight blue shade that made her the picture of sophistication, while the dramatic ruffled skirt added a flair befitting of the celebratory occasion. The drop pendant helped further draw attention to her sweetheart neckline, we love it.

Like a true style diva, Fann Wong packed two outfits to this year’s Star Awards, and we’ve got heart-eyes for her second dress from Valentino. Featuring intricate beading and embellishments, this spectacular number is only made better by her dashing husband Christopher Lee at her side.
