When it comes to statement-making bags, Gabriela Hearst knows where it’s at. The newly minted creative director of French house Chloe, as well as the founder of her own eponymous label, has been making waves in the accessories (and fashion) scene with iconic bags like the Nina, which were notoriously hard to get as they were only available made-to-order* when she first started.
In this exclusive interview with The Weekly, the 44-year-old designer and busy mum tells us what it’s like to stay inspired and creative in the midst of lockdown, and why she feels the conversation on sustainability should be an ongoing on.
