If you’ve missed out on the two rounds of Studio Ghibli fashion collaborations with Loewe – here’s your chance to avoid a strike three. The well-loved Japanese animation film studio is unveiling another bound-to-be best-selling fashion tie-up in the middle of the month.
This time, the maker of cult classics such as Spirited Away (2001) and My Neighbor Totoro (1988) is turning to Japanese fast fashion giant Uniqlo to create T-shirt merchandise under the latter’s UT line to please its adoring fans. The collection will hit shelves and uniqlo.com from Feb 18.

The launch of the collection coincides with an exhibition of the studio’s body of work titled #My style, My ghibli that Uniqlo and Studio Ghibli are staging right now in Bangkok’s CentralWorld mall.
A total of six styles for adults and six styles for kids are available in the lineup and will feature prints of vibrant and whimsical characters from My Neighbor Totoro. These prints include those of the show’s namesake gentle, bear-like creature as well as an image of the transporting bus-looking character Cat Bus which was taken by Thai photographer Kanyada at the Ghibli Museum.
Ahead, a quick look at what you can expect from the outing.
