Apple introduced the highly anticipated iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus on Wednesday much to everyone’s excitement. The new phones have a couple of interesting and innovative features and will be available for pre-order on Apple’s website at 3:01pm on September 9. Prices start at $1,048 for 32GB. The phones will be in available in Singapore on September 16.

Built with a custom-designed A10 Fusion chip, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus now has four central processing unit (CPU) cores that makes it twice as fast and more efficient than the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
You might think that four CPUs mean more power used but the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is said to use as little as half the power of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to get things done.
For frequent travellers, the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus could be the best phone for you.
The new phones now support up to 25 long-term evolution (LTE) bands around the world making it easier for you to connect with the ones you love.
This means the new iPhones now have protection against water spills and splashes. We’ve yet to find out if it’ll survive if you’ve accidentally dropped it in the toilet bowl but, it’s a good initiative by Apple.
Instead of the physical button that when pressed down makes a clicking sound, the new home button on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will now vibrate when tapped. This means, the home button will be less prone to dage and is sealed up to ensure the phone’s water resistant feature works.
Said to be two times louder than the iPhone 6s, the new iPhones now have stereo speakers that offer an increased dynamic range of sound.
Instead of your typical 3.5mm earphone jacks, the iPhones have done away with that to keep the phone as water resistant as possible. Instead, you’ll be given an earphone adapter when you buy the phone so you can use it with your own headphones.
Sold separetely, these wireless earphones can play music, help you answer calls and be used to access Siri.
Available for $238, the AirPods have about five hours of usage each and comes with a charging case that lets you charge these earphones on the go.
The new iPhones now have 12-megapixel cameras with a ƒ/1.8 aperture range.
The iPhone 7 Plus will also include a 12-megapixel telephoto camera that offers optical zoom at two times and up to 10 times digital zoom for photos so your photos are clearer.
You’ll also be able to achieve that much adored bokeh effect.
The new iPhones will feature the brightest and most colourful Retina HD display yet with a wide colour gamut for cinema-standard colours. This means greater saturation in photos.
