If you drink tea and coffee at home, you might have some of those unsightly ring marks or spill stains on your table. Take care of them by dabbing toothpaste into the stains and wiping off with a damp cloth.
Here’s a nifty way to minimise the scratches on your phone. Lightly rub the surface of your mobile with your finger and a tiny bit of toothpaste. Then wipe with a damp – but not wet – cloth, trying not to get your phone too wet or it will damage it.
Scuff marks and stains on leather products like bags, shoes. sofa. car seats and jackets can look unsightly. Try rubbing in a non-bleaching or non-whitening toothpaste with a soft cloth to polish the leather, then wipe away with a damp cloth.
Spilling a blob of toothpaste into the bathroom sink is very common. But instead of wiping it off the next time, give your sink a rub with the toothpaste to clean your sink. It always give your sink a gleam and makes it smell nice.
Remove water marks from chrome taps with a blob of toothpaste – just rub it in and rinse it off, to leave a lovely shiny finish.
Spilled something on the carpet or did the pup dirty it? Squeeze a little toothpaste on the stain and scrub with a toothbrush or small brush. It’s safer to give it a go first on a piece of carpet that’s tucked away, just in case.

A hot shower usually fogs up your bathroom mirror. Here’s a quick solution, rub a bit of toothpaste on the mirror and wipe dry – this helps to stop it from fogging over.
Are the ivory keys on your piano grimy and grubby? Resuscitate them by rubbing the white keys with a damp cotton cloth and a little bit of toothpaste. Wipe clean and buff for white gleaming keys.
