It’s challenging to be pet parents when you live in a rented condo. You not only must obtain the landlord’s approval before moving in, but you also have to consider the restrictions to modify and pet-proof the property to accommodate your pets. That is why many people wait to have their own property before acquiring pets, especially when they want to do it professionally.
Doctor Supranee and lawyer Cherrylene previously shared a rental property with their seven-year-old Border Collie. Then they fell in love with British Shorthair cats, so much that Cherry decided to breed them as a side business in 2017.
“It comes with a whole new set of challenges because a rented unit is not an ideal place to breed cats,” shares Sup. It was one of the main reasons the couple decided to buy their own home.
They found the perfect unit in Cavenagh Gardens. The five-room condo was built in 1976 and had been with the previous owner for 20 years. It has good bones and plenty of room to live, work and breed cats. Tasked with designing the home was interior designer Serene Tan from INTR Studio.
