We’ve all been there – valiantly trying to peel stubborn stickers that just won’t come off clean, leaving a sticky residue behind. Scraping it off is a bad idea as it tends to create scratch marks. Simply turn your hair dryer to high heat and aim it at a corner of the sticker for at least 30 seconds, before peeling it off easily.
Blast cool air to dislodge dust particles that have collected in difficult-to-reach spaces like your keyboard, narrow shelves and plant pots.
Give your freshly-painted digits a shot of cool air, it works just as well as at the salon. Be sure not to use hot or even warm air, as heat prevents nail polish from firming and setting.

Want to remove and preserve photographs from yellowed albums without the risk of tearing them? With your hair dryer on a low heat setting, blow warm air on the back of the page or aim it between the photograph and the page, gently moving the tool back and forth to avoid heating up one spot for too long.
Don’t be struck with painful blisters when breaking in your new pair of shoes or boots. Try this trick: Put on a thick pair of socks and slip into your shoes. Blast warm air over the areas that feel tight or uncomfortable, wiggling your toes as you go. Once the shoes have expanded to your desired comfort level, walk around to cool them. Remove the thick socks and you’re good to go!
Note: Avoid doing this with plastic shoes that can melt or warp.
The next time you find a crayon wall drawing, don’t fret. Heat it up on warm or high heat for a few seconds, then wipe away with a damp cloth. The same goes for melted candle wax from birthday cakes or that romantic candle-lit dinner.
Hold your eyelash curler under the hair dryer and heat it for a few seconds. Test it on your palm first, to ensure that it won’t singe your lashes off, before curling for extra-voluminous lashes.
Got a crumpled cotton shirt? Before you break out the iron, spritz some water on the wrinkled areas and then blow-dry on low heat to smoothen it out.
If you can’t find the air pump, your hair-dryer works just as well, if not even better as warm air gets trapped in the mattress for enhanced comfort. Genius!
Just like with the stickers, your hair dryer can make peeling off a plaster a less harrowing experience (especially for kids).
