You know the drill: when it comes to home renovation, one usually has only a couple of options. You either go the conventional route of entrusting the process to an interior designer who handles everything, or you take on the task of sourcing and coordinating different contractors on your own.
For most DIYers, the main hurdle is often the mammoth task of having to interview and get quotations from several suppliers – it’s a months-long process that saves costs but takes a lot of time and energy. But what if this process was simplified, so that you could receive quotations in a matter of minutes even without leaving your home?

That’s the idea behind Homeez, a new renovation platform for the DIY homeowner. It guides you through a step-by-step design process on their proprietary AI Design Now tool, which includes 3D renderings, and even links you up to reliable vendors. Best of all? It’s free to use. We chat with co-founder Jon Ho to find out more.
It’s for both homeowners who prefer a DIY approach, as well as those who are looking for cost savings by getting direct-from-supplier prices while working with a project manager or interior designer. Our Design Now platform can give you a quotation within a matter of minutes, so you can save time on comparing multiple contractors.
As a direct supplier platform, we handpick contractors and vendors based on their portfolio, and thoroughly vet all of them to ensure quality of workmanship. We also have a tier rating system to ensure our suppliers maintain consistency and quality in their services.
At Homeez, we practise escrow payment which protects both homeowners and suppliers. This is the process of collecting progressive payments from the homeowners, and releasing the money to the suppliers only upon approval of the final work. This ensures the reliability and speed of our contractors’ work, and safeguards the needs of the homeowners at the same time.
That’s a good question. Every user will get their own renovation dashboard and a call from a Homeez representative to guide them on how to use it, from liaising with the suppliers to using the scheduler for arranging meetings. The dashboard also has a design board where users can upload their design inspirations and tag the respective suppliers.
This dashboard is what you will use to coordinate the renovation on your own. However, if you prefer not to DIY, you can hire your own trusted designers or project managers to work with you on managing this platform.
Yes, EZCash and Shopez is a rewards system. Homeowners who do their renovation with us stand to receive EZCash. This currency can be used in our Shopez store, where we’ve partnered up with Best Denki to offer a range of lifestyle rewards to household appliances that the homeowners can redeem. One of our homeowners was even able to claim a Dyson vacuum cleaner after their renovation!
Yes, at the moment it’s only available in Singapore. We have trained our Artificial Inteligence model to read floorplans of homes unique to Singapore, like Housing Development Board (HDB) flats. We do plan to expand to other cities like Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo in the future.
Our plans are to increase the accuracy of our AI to read the floor plans more precisely, and we’re in talks with online furniture stores and smart home vendors in an effort to help digitalise the industry.
