In a riot of colour, Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades collection celebrated its 10th anniversary with five new pieces, including three variations of Atelier Oï’s much-loved Belt Chair — a Belt bar stool, lounge chair and side stool. Just as eye-catching, a four-seater edition of the Campana Brothers’ cloud-shaped Bomboca sofa and an outdoor Cosmic Table by Raw Edges. Also on display were favourites from the past decade, including the brand’s hammock and woven swing.

Now a regular at Milan Design Week, Hermès showcased its collection of home textiles, from bedcovers to throws, all made of cashmere, one of the house’s favourite fabrics. It also unveiled a selection of lighting, porcelain tableware and compact furnishings that combine impeccable craftsmanship with contemporary style. The entire collection was displayed in four massive, purpose-built structures clad in jewel-tone paper that lit up like lanterns.

Christian Dior’s favourite Medallion chair, a quintessential symbol of Louis XVI style, received the star treatment yet again. This year, the maison partnered with Philippe Starck, after enlisting 17 creatives to reinterpret the chair in 2021. The Miss Dior Medallion Chair comes in three versions — one with an armrest, another with double armrests and a third without any armrests — with metallic finishes ranging from satin black chrome to pink copper and gold. Up until the Medallion chair, Dior’s interiors offerings comprised tableware and small accessories. Could Dior be moving into furniture?
