The many raw wood furnishings from Bali and Bangkok give the home a Balinese look and feel.
These two housemates have a love for restoring pre-loved furniture, and making them their own. Beautiful and organised clutter is kept within a restored cabinet that one of the homeowners found.
An old water-stained table was restored with electric blue paint, and topped with glass to be used as a nightstand behind the bed.

The homeowner displayed all his knick-knacks instead of hiding them in cabinets. Find out more chic ways to decorate your home here!
Bold-coloured statement pieces such as the red bamboo ladder contrast well with the raw concrete walls of the bathroom.
Because the homeowners don’t cook, the kitchen is left stove-less. Instead, it displays an excellent range of old-fashions flasks and knick-knacks that add an Oriental touch to the kitchen.

As the homeowners of this condominium in Simei are extensive travellers, they wanted the “hotel and resort look” in their home. Distinctidentity’s Jonathan Er interpreted it to create a modern, luxurious resort-style interor and lots of concealed storage.
A predominantly cream palette was also used to lend a sense of space to the apartment. For a budget of $40,000, the deisgner gave the couple a place they could “holiday” in 24/7.
Every door in the home features a different pattern, and some are cleverly concealed to blend into the rest of the wall. Ingenious!

The study and sitting area occupy a former second bedroom. The curved platform for the bed is more function than form; there isn’t enough space for a corner.

Tiles with an animal print lend a bit of drama to the bathroom.
Designed by the team at Charlton Design, this apartment at Bayshore Park condominium exudes the ambience and look of a beach resort.
Incorporating extensive use of shiplap wall design, from walls to ceiling, the mostly-white home is decorated with unique furnishings and accessories to give it its look.
The apartment has an unusual layout, where the kitchen sits on a triangular site, which the interior designers have taken advantage of to create a peninsula counter that doubles as a dining area too. Nautical-inspired accessories such as ships and lighthouses can be spotted throughout the home.

The kitchen is also kept mostly white, complete with two pendant lamps above the peninsula counter to add a touch of warmth.
An earthy colour palette fills the master bathroom, to add to the cosy, resort-inspired vibe.
The homeowners chose a four-poster bed for their master bedroom, which now takes pride of place in the space.
There is also generous space for a large alfresco dining area in the balcony, which opens up to panaromic views of the surrounding cityscape. See more gorgeous dining room inspirations here!
This home takes a sophisticated, multi-layered approach to the resort style, with its interior designers Distinctidentity using plenty of wood, but in the form of one-of-a-kind wall and ceiling features that inject warmth without feeling heavy. The renovation cost for this 2,500 sqf, four-room condominium apartment in the Thomson area came up to $100,000.

A medley of wood, marble and glass gives this apartment a homely yet contemporary vibe.
The homeowner loves how the wood-plank look of the full-height cabinet in the living area complements the ceiling beams, which are made of exposed solid plywood and lacquered.

Space was a concern, and to maximise the elongated but narrow family area, a huge sofa was customised and built onto the bay window, with built-in storage space below.
Made of plywood finished with laminate, and wire mesh, this “frame” lets the son create a neat display of his hats and medals.
