With quality apparel that doesn’t skimp on price, Vivre Activewear is perhaps one of the most well-known local brands amongst yoga enthusiasts, suited for light to medium intensity workouts. Their apparels are designed and manufactured from scratch, and are better suited for the Asian woman in mind. And it shows – many customers can’t stop raving about how comfortable the yoga wear is.
Wearing the right sports bra can make all the difference in your workout. And the founders of Project Sora have addressed all your workout woes with their signature crop tops. Too many repetitive designs in the market? You can customise the straps of your tops from five different shades. Unflattering busts? They’ve got sewn-in padded cups to give you that added ‘oompf’. The tops are smooth and sweat-wicking, and only going for an affordable $65 a pop.
If you’re still not entirely convinced (though we can’t see why), they offer a free one month trial to test out their products.
Though most well known for their quality swimwear, K.Blu packs a mean range of activewear too. You can expect the same dedication to quality, long-lasting fabrics, made out of ecological materials, in fashionable Asian inspired prints that are designed to fit petite, Asian women’s frames.
With backgrounds in Finance and Law, the founders of Theia Active know a thing or two about the busy corporate life. Their athleisure label was designed for the busy woman in mind, offering transitional versatility that brings their clothes from office to gym, client meetings to Crossfit. With designs that are edgy, chic, and feminine, their items can be styled both active or dressy.
Contemporary and versatile – these are just a few words used to describe athleisure label Rangoon Active. With an extensive range of stylish gears, from harem pants, yoga tops, to loose tanks and jumpers, consider this your go-to label for anything from yoga, barre, pilates and the gym, to straight out post-workout relaxing.
Started by a fitness enthusiast turned yoga instructor, the label certainly knows something about giving you that relaxed fit for maximum freedom and comfort, with most items made from quick dry materials.
With an emphasis on fashionable swim and activewear, Funfit’s items are stylish enough to take you from both the gym to your next brunch date, depending on how you style them. What’s more, their ‘athleiswim’ series lets you take your tankini and shorts from the gym, and straight to the pool. The series features a four-way stretch, quick drying materials, and SPF 30 protection. How’s that for versatility?
Yet another label for the sassy and confident within us, Tough Cookie Apparel stocks activewear dedicated to the aerial arts, pole dance and yoga. Straps are a strong feature in their designs – from sports bras, tanks, and shorts, and a range of hand woven intricate knot designs on their tops.
Many of their tanks are also made from sustainable bamboo fabric, which is luxuriously soft to touch and perfect for sensitive skin. Suited for both lazy weekends and your next kickboxing class.
Yoga Inc., a boutique yoga studio with 3 branches around Singapore, also carries their own in-house apparel label with a local slant. Their range of tanks features the cutest and cheekiest “Singrish” statements – a mix of Singlish and English, and cute illustrations made in lightweight and breathable cotton
If you think life’s too short for boring pants, Ohsosom is just the brand for you. Their unapologetic use of bold prints and colours sets them apart from other athleisure brands, and are all hand drawn by founder Tunku Khalsom, who was previously an interior designer. No workout session will ever be a bore with these!
Lyaya, which stands for Love yourself as you are, is yet another affordable yet quality fitness label, with no item costing more than $50 in their collection. With no visible brand logos, you don’t have to worry about dressing in mismatched brands, or look like a walking advertisement in these.
