Looks For Your Life: How To Pick A Functional Bag For Every Occasion

by Aaron Kok  /   February 28, 2019

We are huge fans of bags, but sometimes, bag trends are head-scratching and confusing (remember the big “mini bags” trend not too long ago?). The truth is that as much as everyone loves a gorgeous new bag, we want bags that are functional too.

They should be spacious enough for everything (nothing more irritating than leaving out an essential due to space constraints), stylish to look at and preferably not too heavy. And if any of these things appeal to you, then you should meet Elizabeth.

Like most, Elizabeth loves a great bag. Her go-to is a black shoulder bag that she carries everywhere with her — and we mean everywhere. Whether it’s to work, meeting her friends for coffee on the weekend or even to a fancy cocktail party, Elizabeth’s bag never changes because she can’t find bags that suit each occasion and offers her enough storage for her stuff. To help her with this, we got her to try on a few bags from RABEANCO.

Each RABEANCO bag is made from engineered leather that’s super light in weight, yet durable enough to withstand a beating. Furthermore, we gave her fast and easy tips on how to shop for practical bags, so she can build up her bag wardrobe. And now, we’re sharing those tips with you!

Watch this video to see how we’ve helped Elizabeth find the perfect bag for every occasion:

Channel the laidback glamour of the ’70s with a muted tan handbag. Plus, the oversized logo on the front adds a hint of luxe metallic accent to the look.

For an ’80s twist on your shoulder bag, look to this Givenchy piece. Featuring a quilted leather exterior and swishy chain tassel, it has hints of Joan Collins circa Dynasty, without feeling dated and tacky.

For an alternative to black, look for a navy blue bag instead. It’s got the same versatility and timelessness as a black bag, but the navy blue somehow feels richer and more interesting.

We love that Rabeanco bags make use of ultra lightweight leather in the making of their bags, so you get the joys of carrying a leather bag without it weighing you down. This satchel makes for a great weekend look, and you can pair it with a floral sundress and cute sandals.
